Hello,
You’ve just signed up at one of our clubs.
I assume this decision was well thought out and that you’re ready to commit in order to see quick results.
Know that you are being trained at one of the best schools in the world, and that Gabi Noah, a Master in Krav Maga, is one of the direct students of Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of the method.
IKM Belgium is one of the most important federations globally, and we are by far the largest Krav Maga force in Belgium, well ahead of all other groups and federations.
Gabi Noah also comes to us three times a year to update our instructors, as well as for training workshops and belt tests.
I expect to see you at these workshops and especially at your belt test, because it’s important at some point to have someone verify and authenticate your knowledge. This will also allow you to move on to more advanced techniques.
The workshops take place in October, late January – early February, and in March.
Over the coming months, you’ll acquire techniques and change your way of being, thinking, and acting, because while it’s important to know how to react in a conflict, it’s even more important to anticipate and avoid it.
Here’s an overview of what you’ll need to master over the next 6 months:

Punches and kicks;

Warnings/guards while standing (360°), sitting, lying down;

Falls against walls, tables, the ground;

Forward, backward, and side rolls;

Prevention against different types of strikes;
-
Defense against slaps, punches, uppercuts, hooks, elbow strikes, etc.;
-
Defense against all types of kicks, in any position.
As you can see, we have work to do.
Please know that every instructor in the federation has been trained, tested, and certified by Gabi Noah himself, which guarantees a high standard of quality.
Moreover, unlike in previous years, a pool of instructors will be assigned to each club to ensure you benefit from multiple approaches and better follow-up.
I will also be making occasional visits to each club so that we can meet.
