Founder of IKM

Gabi Noah

Gabi Noah was born in Syria in 1964.

He immigrated in 1979 and began his self-defense training with Rafi Al Igrisi. Two years later, he trained with Eli Aviksar and Imi Sde Or (Lichtenfeld), founder of Krav Maga.

In 1982, he successfully passed the Krav Maga Union's assistant trainer exam. He officially became a Krav Maga instructor in 1985 after completing training at the Wingate Institute (Israel). That same year, he passed the exams leading to the black belt, the first DAN approved by Imi Sde Or and Eli Aviksar.

In 1985, Gabi Noah joined the Israeli army, where he successfully completed the following training courses:

Combat instructor and rank of sergeant

Fitness and Physical Education Instructor

Krav Maga Instructor

Military obligations

During his military service, he became the lead instructor of instructor candidates and soldiers at the Battle School.
During this period, Gabi Noah formed prestigious units such as Sayeret Matkal, Golani, and the Special Border Guard Units (Magav). He was one of the founders of the IKMF alongside Eyal Yanilov, Eli Ben Ami, and Avi Moyal, and when the latter broke up, he founded the IKM.
Gabi is today one of the most recognized Krav Maga masters in the world.
